Yacht Club

Old Bridge Yacht Club
You can join and become a member even if you do not own a boat! Look for the Yacht Club tables in the OBV Clubhouse on Saturday mornings. Yacht Club members meet at the Clubhouse at 8:00AM on the last Tuesday of the month for coffee/social hour followed by a business meeting at 8:30. This is usually followed later by a “Boat to Lunch” at a nearby restaurant around 12:00 noon. The Signup book is always on the Yacht Club’s counter in the Clubhouse. Sign up early, as it is a very popular function! The Yacht Club sponsors many functions, and you will have to buy tickets for those, usually on Saturday mornings. A schedule of all events is posted on the board at the Yacht Club counter.
Some of the Yacht Club functions supports a variety of local charities by holding various fund-raising functions throughout the year, such as Friday Nite Bites at the Clubhouse at 5PM.
Popular Yearly Events include: Picnic at Franklin Locks, boat or car trips to Tween Waters, and Pink Shell resorts, beach and picnic get-together at Bowditch Park, the Commodore’s Ball, a “Shipwreck Party”, as well as a boat trip to Shipwreck Motel, the Christmas Boat Parade, and the famous “Shrimp Boil”, hosted by Past Commodore’s.
Friday Nite Bites money is used for betterment of OBV.
Bridging the Gap (BTG) supports outside of OBV, such as buying books, shoes, socks, etc. for local school kids.
